The project is be a creative production center affiliated with the Museum of
Contemporary Art (MOCA) and is sited in Los Angeles.
The program is a music center including music workshop, performance space and
music exhibition. So the concept derived from the rhythm in music. I started the design
with five structurally rhythmic ribs represent each function of the spaces. These
spaces overlap and interweave with each other, creating thresholds that transition
from one program to another. Characterized by a different rhythm, as each program
system is woven with each other, the possibilities of both the next space one enters
and the thresholds in between those spaces create a new kind of spatial experience.
